Overview
Your WordPress website consists of a frontend portion and a backend portion.
- The frontend of your site is what your visitor's see when they view your website. It can be considered the 'client-facing' portion of your site.
- The backend of your site is where you gain access to editing your site's content. This portion of the site is password protected and, therefore, not accessible to a regular website visitor.
Accessing Your Site
Once Energy Circle has made your site live to the public, we will schedule a client site training session where we'll show you the ins-and-outs of the backend of your site. After this session is held, you'll be provided a recording of what was reviewed along with your Login and Password to gain access to the backend of the site.
Logging In
To login to the backend of your website, enter your websites url into your browser followed by the term ec-admin.
This will bring you to the Login and Password screen for your WordPress website. Enter the login and password that was provided to you and click the "Log In" button.
The Backend Dashboard
Once logged in, you'll see the backend Dashboard for your website. This is where you will access the content on your site and make any necessary edits.
