Last night we attended the TechMaine awards ceremony along with members of the vibrant and steadily expanding tech community in this State. TechMaine - the Technology Association of Maine - is a state-wide trade association that has acted as both advocate and resource for the technology industry during a period of impressive growth.
Energy Circle carried home two "Best of the Web" awards: Best e-commerce site, and best brand. The e-commerce award was a gratifying recognition of our efforts to deliver a best in class shopping experience for consumers motivated by the financial and environmental benefits of efficient products. The Best of the Web Brand Award saluted our memorable corporate image, and was an acknowledgment of our commitment to cutting through the complex and sometimes mundane territory of building science, and bringing it home in a meaningful way to consumers seeking reliable, actionable information.
We are pleased with the recognition and happy to be in the company of such a broad group of accomplished companies. On a personal note, I was psyched to see FetchDog, which I helped launch and for which I accepted the same e-commerce award a year ago, win the Gazelle Company of the Year Award for the company that has emerged from start up phase to become a solid presence in the market place.
Thank you, Tech Maine. We are grateful for the award, and delighted to be a part of the dynamic - and growing - tech industry in Maine.
